Sexual Harassment / Hostile Workplace Prevention Training & Practices
To defend themselves, employers would have to show that they exercise reasonable care to prevent and promptly correct any sexual harassing behavior
United States Supreme Court, 1998 | | Title VII of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964, specifically prohibits various forms of discrimination in the workplace and allows for liability of the employer when such violations occur. However, the U.S. Supreme Court created an affirmative defense for employers who have a training program and enforce it's policies. R.C.S. offers a comprehensive risk management-training program, which will promote compliance with state and federal employment laws and prevent unlawful and inappropriate employee behavior or statements. This training will establish proper grievance procedures and define generally unacceptable or unlawful behavior, which may constitute a hostile work environment. HACCP Training / Certification This program is designed to provide food service related businesses including restaurants, distributors, and manufacturers with training and certification, which will enable the implementation and oversight of a Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Program. HACCP is a pro-active process control system by which food quality is ensured. This system has been adopted by many countries around the world and is mandatory in most. R.C.S. trainers are able to assist your organization in the implementation of HACCP systems as well as provide training for your staff. R.C.S. specialists are able to assist with the identification and documentation of potential hazards. The range of hazards could include safety hazards such as toxins, contamination, foreign bodies, decomposition, microbiological and non-safety hazards such as product quality, product substitution, etc. The next step is to help identify "critical control points" in the production process and establish critical limits. Many companies include too many CCP's in their HACCP system thereby making it ineffective. CCP's are those where the failure of the process would cause or contribute to the occurrence of a hazard. Critical Limits are then established for each CCP. These limits may be determined by Government regulation and are used to establish that the HACCP system is working correctly.
